Where My Feet May Fail.

I love the almost magical way in which music can speak to my heart. Sometimes, more than anything else, songs and the lyrics which they share bless my life, refresh me, encourage me, and bring me directly to the feet of the Lord.
I love the song "Oceans" and cannot get enough of it. There are so many words that speak directly to me. It is a great reminder that no matter what I am going through, no matter what trials I am faced with or difficult circumstances I encounter...my faith will stand. It is a great reminder of the refuge the Lord provides; of the guidance, direction, and strength he bestows to me. The Lord has NEVER failed me. Even when I don't see the ways that he is working and I am blind to his brilliant plan for my life...He is faithful. He has never left my side, even when I have strayed from Him.
This song is the prayer for my life. I pray that I will be faithful enough to follow wherever the Lord leads, that my walk with the Lord will go deeper and be made stronger than I have ever imagined, and that my trust would grow in such immense ways that I have no other choice but to live each day in reverence and obedience to the ways in which God is leading.

This is a huge prayer but I serve a huge God and I know that if I am faithful with this prayer the Lord will be faithful in answering.

"Oceans (Where Feet May Fail)"
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand

And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now

So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine

Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
